People helping People

Our mission

The People's Home Project is a community-driven initiative focused on helping working people build long-term stability, security and stronger futures through collective public support.
Created from the belief that hard work should lead to stability, not permanent survival mode, the project aims to provide more than just housing. It aims to provide peace of mind, dignity, opportunity, and the ability for individuals and families to build lasting futures within the communities they belong to.
By helping people move from insecure renting into stable home ownership, The People's Home Project seeks to reduce financial pressure, improve mental wellbeing, strengthen communities, and create generational stability for ordinary working people across the United Kingdom.
At its core, the project is built on one simple principle:
People Helping People

Why it Exists

Across the United Kingdom, more and more working people are finding themselves trapped between rising housing costs, insecure renting, and an increasing inability to build long-term financial stability.
For many individuals and families, hard work no longer guarantees security, peace of mind, or the opportunity to plan for the future. Entire communities are being affected as local people are priced out of the areas they grew up in, paticularly in coastal towns and high-pressure housing regions.
The People's Home Project was created in response to this growing crisis.
The project exists to explore a new community-driven approach built on the belife that ordinary people, working together, can help create lasting change. Not simply by providing housing, but by helping people achieve stability, dignity, reduced financial pressure, stronger mental wellbeing, and the opportunity to build a future with confidence.
At its core, The People's Home Project is about restoring hope, strengthening communities, and creating a future where working people are once again able to feel secure in the place they call home.
